I had the pleasure of covering Heather and Johns wedding last month and absolutely loved being back in Philadelphia at the Knowlton Mansion. I knew when I photographed their engagement session that they would be an easy couple to work with. They are the 1 in 100 people that are oddly comfortable in front of the camera and the results on their wedding day were beautiful! They had their ceremony at the Church of the Gesu, a massive stunning, church with four elevated upper arcades and a 72-foot high marble altar.
With 13 acres of perennial gardens, the mansion boasts a beautifully restored main building with perfectly decorated Victorian, antique rooms. Heather, John and I made our way through the grounds as I captured them in front of the property’s working barn, a stone path that ran through the garden and finally inside the Knowlton Mansion itself. We really had so much fun here! I could have taken up their entire reception photographing them in every room but I managed to restrain myself.
Heather looked beautiful in a lace, mermaid gown and her gorgeously exposed back. John looked his usual handsome self and the two of them together with their movie star looks made this happy photographer very lucky 🙂
Enjoy!
