The Barn at Perona Farms with Michele and Ryan

One of the coolest barn reception spaces in New Jersey is the Barn at Perona Farms.  The barns shape and lighting is one of the highlights of the property.  It really mixes contemporary and rustic elements in  a way that works beautifully for couples that love both styles.  The venue is family owned and was established in 1971 by Emil Perona.  It’s inception is a very cool story and I encourage folks to read up on it.  Nothing made me smile more than when I learned that Emil expected to live the ‘quiet life of a dairy farmer’ when he purchased the 260 acres on land in Andover Township.

I am glad those plans took an unexpected turn because Michele and Ryan were incredibly fun to work with.  Not just because they were laid back, pleasant and gorgeous – they are crossfit junkies!  Now, I do my little workouts but when Ryan read his vows to Michele and mentioned that one of the reasons he loved her was that she could essential ‘snatch’ her own body weight, I knew I had to step up my game 🙂
