FUSION wedding # 1!  I can’t get enough of fusion weddings!  I captured two fusion weddings this year (I need more please!!)  I photographed this couple’s engagement session in the city, their henna party the night before and was really looking forward to the wedding day.  You could not find a nicer pair – hearts of pure gold.  The Palace in Somerset is an absolutely amazing venue with grand pure white pillars, yummy,  yummy food and a fantastic staff.

So what is a fusion wedding?  Simple answer = A NJ wedding photographers dream.  Real answer = when a couple with mixed cultural/religious backgrounds celebrate both sides on their wedding day.  This wedding had two ceremonies, one fusion dress, and an exuberant atmosphere.  The ceremonies overlooked a gorgeous clear sky on the Palaces outdoor ‘courtyard’ (lack of better description – see photos for better detail).

The bride was the definition of stunning and the handsome groom could not keep the smile off his face when he saw her for the first time.  She had a corseted top dripping in jewels with a skirt nothing short of dazzling.

Everybody knows how sentimental I am – I always shed tears at my weddings.  Wedding photography is the best job imaginable, so when I see a ‘fusion’ of cultures where both sides completely embrace the other, it just adds another emotional element for me – particularly because my family has a diverse background.

It feels so wonderful to have followed this couple from their engagements all the way to their I-do’s…
