Maritime Parc – Olga and Tom

When your bragging rights include a line like ‘the best view of Manhattan,’ you better believe I was excited to capture this wedding at the Maritime Parc.  Olga and Tom were such a pleasure to work with.  Fun, generous and excessively charming (yes, and very good looking).  Their engagement session (coming soon to the blog) gave me some insight into who these two are.  I really can’t say enough about them.  I felt, and I know my second shooter will echo this sentiment, completely at home with them as hosts.  There were not too many dry eyes during toasts.  I cried…   Even though my French and Russian is very rusty, I’m kind of an expert in non verbal communication 😉

I often wonder why couple select certain venues – whats the predominant factor.  Is it the view, the food, style and decor?  The Maritime Parc sits right next to Liberty State Park which I had visited many times before but…  And this is a HUGE but..  I have never see a more beautiful night at the park.  Yes, it rained, yes I’m sure the couple and bridal party was concerned…  but the temperamental clouds hiding parts of the skyline made for photo magic like I have never seen and I am so excited to share today.  In the end, Olga and Tom remind me why I love what I do so much.  I get why they are so loved and respected by their friends and family and truly honored to have captured their special day.
